Wok for Love

The Region 1 Leo Clubs are organizing yet another meaningful project! It is the “Wok for Love” Cooking Competition!

The objective of the event is to build teamwork among the teammates, and to encourage fellowship and healthy competition between members of different clubs. Besides that, culinary talent is also promoted among the contestants, and this can also help in increasing public awareness and boost teen involvement in cooking skills and eating healthy foods.

The prizes of champion is cash of RM250, while the

cash prize of 1^st runner up and 2^nd runner up are RM150 and RM100 respectively. Teamwork, taste of the food, plate decoration and also the way contestants present their dishes are the judging criteria for this competition

117 Fallen Stars Project - LIONS & LEO CHARITY DINNER

Another District project, 117 - the Fallen Stars Project refers to our tribute to the beloved late Leos, Leo Jason Ch'ng, Brendon Yeoh & Goh Yi Zhang who passed away in the tragic boat accident on the 17th of January 2010!

In loving memory of them being Leo members, servicing the community, District308B2 is organizing a series of 117 projects that are fundraising community projects in their names.

The project was jointly organised by Lions Club of Penang (Host) , New Century Lions Club of Penang Island, Leo Club of Penang (City) , Leo Club of Chung Ling High School & Leo Club of Convent Datuk Keramat

Date : 5th June 2010 (Saturday)
Time :7:00pm
Venue: Han Chiang Stadium
Ticket :RM 50 per ticket

This year our goal is to raise RM 10,000 to support the cost of patients’ dialysis. We hope you will join us once again in reaching our fund raising goal. We are going to raise the fund via donations and dinner tickets selling. Some of the donations details are as follow:

(a) “Gong” Striking (鸣锣) VVVIP – Donation of RM 3000, with complimentary 2 dinner tickets

(b) “Gu”Hitting (鸣鼓) VVIP – Donation of RM 2000, with complimentary 2 dinner tickets

(c) Ribbon Cutting VIP – Donation of RM 500, with complimentary 2 dinner tickets

(d) Ribbon Cutting VIP- Donation of RM 200, with complimentary 1 dinner ticket

A simple donation can be made by cash or by cheque payable to “NEW CENTURY LIONS CLUB OF PENANG ISLAND” to: 252, Jalan Selatan , 11700 Gelugor , Penang.

累了，就把心事放下來

能解決的事，不必去擔心；
不能解決的事，擔心也沒用。
在順境中感恩、在逆境中依舊心存喜樂 ……
累了，就把心事放下來.

一手舉起有重量的東西，一邊想著事情。
手酸了，自然會放下手上的東西，
看看有一天，我會不會也學到，心累了，就把心事給放下來。
我們能很容易的放下有形的重物，
卻很難放下無形的重擔。

最近老天怎么了...last year noted...just repeat here

最近老天怎么了？近来的几个月，有爱的人很多都失恋了，

老一辈的人也走了很多个。

怎么会这样呢？难道地球容不下这些人了吗？

爱情路变得那么的坎坷，付出真爱的傻瓜最难受了，

这一个落叶的季节变得更加寂寞了。。

虽然月有阴晴圆缺，人有悲欢离合，不过就是经不起失去的感受，

一个个陪伴在身边，

抚养孩子长大的他们，与世长辞再也不会来了。。


爱情，为什么就是经不起考验。难道它验证了美国人所说的，

真正的爱情就只能经营两年吗？为何它不像醇酒，

纯纯的越久就越浓呢？

然而，它似忽是杯茶，越冲就越淡。是命运的作弄吗？

是人为吗？背叛？撒谎？不爱了？累了？倦了？是这样的吗？

难道，那两个相爱的人邂垢后，

就不能长久的在青翠的草原一起奔向蔚蓝的天空吗？

那一双常常捏着对方鼻子，

摸摸对方额头的手去了哪儿？浪漫主义的爱情渐渐的，

渐渐的消失了。。就像泡沫轻轻的，

轻轻的，一捧就破了，易碎的心受了伤，怎么贴也贴补不好，贴不好了。


回来。从牙牙学语到横飞口沫，从用奶瓶饮奶到学会用杯子，

从跌倒直到站起来，亲爱的他不曾离开，

成为孩子最需要的避风港，下雨时，总为孩子撑扇，

然而现在他走了，想要报答的机会没有了，

想要爱他的机会没有了，他真的走了，永远都不回来了。

现在，孩子能做的就是慢慢，一步一步的经历人生，

怀念他曾经陪伴的日子，

让那对他的爱牢牢锁在心头。


受了伤害的爱情，再怎么疗伤也不能痊愈。

像似失去翅膀的小鸟，怎么飞也飞不高了。没有水的鱼儿会活吗？

那种，被爱折磨的爱情真的很难受，想起曾经一起走过的每一幕，

是快乐或不快乐也不可能重来。 怀念他在身边的日子，

他的笑容，他的笑声，他的每一个小动作也只能烙印在心里。

心中的不舍，笑着的难过，

明明很不不舍却宁愿伤害自己，

也不要他难过。毕竟是谁放掉这一段刻苦名心的爱情？

或者是谁该难过，谁非谁错，

已经不再重要，不重要了

Dear Leos,

19th December 2009 marks another milestone of success in our District as we install the cabinet officers of the District 308B2 LEO Cabinet! Inevitably it has been almost 40 years since the existence of the Leo Club program in District 308 (Malaysia-Singapore-Brunei), and B2 has taken the first step to follow the International guidelines to form our very own LEO council... but for us, we call the council ~ The LEO Cabinet.

Headed by mostly past presidents of Omega Leo Clubs, or some candidates strongly recommended by their respective club, advisors or RCCs, the LEO Cabinet is aimed at providing more on ground support to all LEO Clubs all over the district and aiding the District Chairperson & Regional Committee Chairpersons.

The LEO Cabinet is not here to take over any duties or roles, or impose any rules & regulations etc etc. It is here to assist, support and help the LEO program in anyways possible.
